Providing fitness solutions available for everyone in the community, is at the heart of the philosophy behind the new range of children’s interactive fitness products from Pulse.

The Park Leisure Centre in Barrow, now boasts one of the best equipped local authority children’s fitness suites with its ‘Club Max’ brand and has recently developed a new range of classes open to all children with any kind of disability, called ‘Max Inspiration’. Using the latest range of Pulse children’s interactive fitness products; including Active wall, Dance Machine and Vibe cardio & strength equipment, a range of sessions has been designed specifically to help disabled children enjoy physical activity.

Working with the Child Development Centre at Furness General Hospital and a group of parents with disabled children, the team at the Park Leisure Centre saw the opportunity to use the fun factor associated with interactive fitness equipment to stimulate the children, whilst at the same time helping to develop their reaction, balance, co-ordination and speed skills.

“It’s vital that all the children using the Club Max gym enjoy their time here,” comments Ian Jones, Fitness Manager at Parks Leisure Centre.  “Our ‘Max Inspiration’ sessions are designed to offer children who normally get sidelined by physical activity a way to develop their skills in an environment where they are encouraged to try everything and where the equipment has been developed with inclusivity in mind.”
